Our Garden Club is committed to community projects that involve and educate the youth, such as school programs, children’s garden, seed library, and green initiatives. We also seek to grow as better stewards of our environment and solid contributors to our Lake Ridge Community.

Chinn Park Children's Garden
The Garden Club of Lake Ridge designed and constructed the Chinn Park Children's Garden located at 13025 Chinn Park Drive, Woodbridge, Virginia, 22192.

Chinn Park Seed Library
The Garden Club of Lake Ridge is in the planning stages of establishing a Seed Library program with a home base location at the Chinn Park Library. Stay tuned for more information!
Old Bridge Elementary School

Old Bridge Elementary School
Our Club members did a hands on workshop with the Old Bridge Elementary School Garden Club to make Seed Balls! Seed Ball Lesson Plan and Pictures
Trick or Treatment
Our Club members joined the H. L. Mooney Water Reclamation Facility for the inaugural Trick or Treatment event. It was a great success with more than 300 attendees. The kids learned about environmental and wastewater issues in a festive Halloween setting. Photo Link

Girl Scout Outreach
Garden Club of Lake Ridge members, Valerie Gaffney and Wendy MacDonald, helped the Girls Scouts of Troop 18044 earn badges for Flowers and Gardening.. They presented information on native plants and gave each scout a plant to take home. A fun day for everyone. Photo Link
Westridge Green Days
Our Club participated in the Westridge Community Green Day and displayed native plants and had an educational information. Kids got to plant zinnia seeds and transplant aloe to take home and grow from us! Video Link
ACTS
The Garden Club of Lake Ridge collects and donates food every year to Action in Community Through Service (ACTS) Food Pantry which helps the Prince William County community in need. More information about ACTS
Meals on Wheels Project
